Koh Samui Thai Boxing
Thai Boxing or Muay Thai has had a rise in popularity on Koh Samui. There are a number of schools, e.g. Lamai, WMC and Pinyo. The Lamai Stadium is located in the south of Lamai, between Ring Road and Lamai Beach Road. Another boxing school can be found in a bar area in the middle of the Beach Road. (Lady boxing, free to watch) Chaweng Stadium is Koh Samui’s main arena and located rather near the Reggae Pub.

There is one 18-hole golf courses available on Koh Samui. Santiburi Samui Country Club is must-try for golfing buffs, especially on Chaweng Beach. The course features excellent dining, meeting facilities as well as a driving. Or try out the new Bophut Hills Golf Course.
Koh Samui Trekking & Elephant Trekking
With Koh Samui’s diversity of landscape and tropical lush jungles, the island is a great place for trekking, either on foot or on an elephant.
Koh Samui Cycling
Another Koh Samui leisure activity is cycling the island which can be a memorable event. Experienced mountain bikers will enjoy every minute of the exceptional terrain and stunning views that Koh Samui has to offer. With a coastline composed of mangroves, limestone, small coves, caves and islands, and an interior with rivers lined with cave systems, Koh Samui provides a great environment for kayaking and the most popular way to see the sights of Koh Samui and the sea.
Motorboats and jet skis can be obtained on pretty much every beach. Koh Samui’s warm and beautiful seas provide an excellent place to water ski or wakeboard. Equipment can be rented along with your boat. And for the daredevil the Thundercats are also available on Koh Samui.
Koh Samui Sailing Yachting & Cruising
All types of boating have soared in popularity in Koh Samui over the past decade. This is probably the result of the success of the Koh Samui Regatta and day cruises and sunset cruises aboard large catamaran Kia Ora. The only problem with sailing however, in Koh Samui, is that there isn’t much in the way of safe mooring, good support infrastructure and services.

Alternatively, private yacht cruises can be booked. Parasailing and wind surfing is an option, as is all you need to go kite surfing, which has become the most recent pastime on Koh Samui.
Koh Samui Fishing
Fishers catch the likes of marlin, sailfish barracuda and tuna. The majority of the fishing tours leave from the south-west corner of Koh Tong Krut. Day or Night tours are available, many of which on very traditional Thai fishing boats.
